RASPBERRY FROZEN DESSERT

 

Raspberry Frozen Dessert

  • 2 cups crushed chocolate wafer cookies
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 8 oz jar of chocolate fudge sauce
  • 1 quart vanilla ice cream
  • 1 pint raspberry sorbet
  • 12 oz frozen raspberries
  • 8 oz container of whipped topping

Crush wafer cookies, add sugar and melted butter; mix. Press wafer mix into bottom of a 9″x13″ casserole dish (reserve about 1/4 cup for topping if desired). Let harden in fridge for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, soften ice cream and sorbet to room temperature.

Spread fudge onto wafer layer. Spread softened vanilla ice cream onto fudge layer. Spoon sorbet in wallops onto ice cream. Swirl if desired.

Next, top sorbet layer with raspberries. Spread on whipped topping. Sprinkle with reserved wafer topping. Cover and freeze 6 hours or overnight.

To serve, sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes.
